What Constellate is

Constellate is a study companion: it charts the figures and relationships in texts you upload, producing an interactive map with short evidence quotations. It is a tool for exploring texts you already have — not a source of the texts themselves.

Your uploads

By uploading a document you affirm that you have lawful access to it and the right to process it for personal study. Uploaded files are private to your account and are never redistributed, published, or made reachable by anyone else — including through share links. You remain responsible for what you upload.

Share links

Sharing a graph publishes only the derived map: figure names, relationships, summaries, and evidence quotations capped at 50 words. Anyone with the link can view that map, so share thoughtfully. You can turn sharing off at any time from the graph.

Copyright & takedowns

We respect rights holders. Report allegedly infringing content to support@constellate-atlas.app with the material identified and your good-faith statement; we respond to valid DMCA takedown notices and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Plans & billing

Paid plans (Pro, Scholar) bill through Stripe, monthly or annually, and can be canceled anytime from your account — access continues through the period already paid. Plan limits (documents per month, pages per document, library size) are described on the pricing page and may evolve; we won't reduce what you've already paid for mid-cycle.

Fair use of the service

Don't attempt to extract other users' data, overwhelm the service, resell access, or use the maps to reconstruct substantial portions of copyrighted works. We may suspend accounts that do.

The maps are interpretive

Graphs are generated by AI reading your document and can contain mistakes — a merged name, a mislabeled tie. They are provided as-is, for study, without warranty of accuracy. Always verify against the text itself (the evidence quotes exist for exactly that).

Changes

We may update these terms as the product grows; material changes will be announced on this page with a revised date.
